FLAG OF RWANDA
Rwanda is a 26,000 sq.km country in the Great Rift Valley in central Africa with a population of 12.63 mil people. The capital city is Kigali.
Rwanda is just 1.5 degrees south of the Equator and is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
It has many hills, with mountains in the west and savanna to the east. There are numerous lakes throughout the country, the biggest one of which is Lake Kivu in the west.
The climate is temperate to subtropical with two rainy seasons and dry seasons each year. The highest mountain is Mount Karisimbi 4507 m in the Northwest of the country.
Rwanda is much cooler than other African countries thanks to its higher average elevation of about 900 metres above sea level, with the central plains having an average elevation of 1932 meters above sea level.
